This year I've felt heartache a bit too often. Way more often than in the past 4 of 5 years. In order to keep my sanity I decided to take a step away from all my ambitions and in a way, also my hopes. I decided to stay "dead inside" so I couldn't be hurt and for many years it had been working great. But I don't know what might have happened that I've been feeling so vulnerable. It's like I have an exposed nerve and it has been hitting everything as I move around. But a few hours ago I felt a bit torn as I realized I've lived following the most frequent advice I've received in life: "Don't get your hopes up". No matter the time, the place or the context. The people closest to me have made sure that's embedded into my soul. And the worst part is that I've never fully listened. I've kept my hopes up, but my actions down. Always afraid of getting those hopes higher. As the tittle suggests, I'm not asking for advise, I'm just putting this out somewhere because I'm confused about how I feel

My intention is mainly about doing character portraits for role playing games, but that's not a requirement. I'm only accepting payments via PayPal.
